Dear Colleagues,

The national neurology Congresses have been the most important activities held in order to share the scientific developments in neurology, to solve the problems and to create the solidarity in neurology society for 44 years.

We are trying to realize the National Neurology Congress which has been organized by Turkish Neurology Society since our 41st Congress in a better way under the light of our experiences from the previous year.

The 44th National Neurology Congress will be held in Sungate Port Royal Hotel and Congress Centre in Antalya between the dates of 11 and 16 November 2008. Between 11-12 November 2008,

18 half day courses and 5 full day courses will be held. As these courses are limited to a quota, the participants must make pre-registration. In order to participate in the credited sessions they want. Within the framework of congress, one of the three main sessions has been kept for ''Multiple Sclerosis'' which is one of the most complex and controversial topics of neurology. For the other two sessions that will be held in the morning, the speakers from in and abroad, who are the leaders in their field and in the scientific literature have been invited. Along with these, the neurology experts from all over the country will have the chance to present their studies orally or in posters and to discuss about them. The workshop which has first been held in the 43rd Congress and in which the problems of our neurology expert colleagues working in private health care institute and fulfilling their compulsory service will exist in this congress again. Especially, under the light of the recent developments in health, we believe that this workshop will have more important then the previous.

The congress which will be credited by Turkish Medical Association and European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS) will host the Neurology Proficiency Test. It is planned that for the specific number of participants who will participate in the congress with the announcement, congress registry, transportation and accommodation support will be given by the Turkish Neurology Society in this year, too.

With the hope that the 44th Congress will be a scientific festival which is celebrated by our neurology family and that it provides an environment in which new friendships are developed and the existing ones are strengthened.
